Whoa, I know that summer just officially started, but it feels like we’re halfway through summer break (school starts back in early August around here), and I’m not sure how I feel about it this year. Part of me knows that we all thrive when we’re on that school year schedule, but another part of me loves these slow mornings where we can just hang out in bed and wake up without setting an alarm.

Small changes can make a big impact, and our hallway is just the place for such a demonstration. It’s not a big reveal or some huge makeover that you’d be super excited to see come together. It’s just a small place that we pass through multiple times per day, and I wanted it to feel cozier somehow. Ya know, if a hallway can feel cozy. (Spoiler: it can!)

We were able to stay in our “labor and delivery” room for a good hour or so before they wanted to move us to our “mother and baby” room. Our local hospital (that we used before) is completely different; there you give birth and stay all in the same room. The rooms are extra spacious for that reason. But here, you switch rooms and nurses altogether.
